   I thought what you did to the image craig was a great improvement, but most of all I just wanted to say what brilliant shot I thought this was. The composition is just beautiful, the crop is perfect and the whole idea of the image to me is like something from Brothers Grimm (fairytales). So great job Juegen on a wonderful image.

   Great shot. And great video, too. My jaw dropped when you showed the first adjustment layer -- I didn't know you could do that with curves! I've always used dodging/burning to bring out detail like that in black and whites, and can never seem to get everything to blend the way I want (or in a way that looks natural). Thank you so much for showing this!

   Perhaps a wild and crazy idea, but a horizontal flip would make the image read from left to right--as we do with our written page.

   Terrific daily critique! You've really given me some additional things to consider when working with my images. I particularly like the way you work with curves and layer masks. I really think the changes you made took a very nice image and made it even stronger.
